Create content

Great content is an essential pillar to live events. Wavecast's native digital publishing capabilities help take live content to another dimension.

This guide explains more about the publishing features of Wavecast, including how to create, categorise and manage content.

By the end you will know how to create articles, share slide decks, publish video and make resources downloadable alongside your live event programme.

Getting to know the basics.

Content Types

All content published on your hub can be viewed by navigating to Content.

To get started, select Create Content and choose the type you wish to publish.

The following types of content can be created on your hub:

  • Video

  • Article

  • Document

  • Podcast

  • Survey

  • Infographic

  • Case

  • Study

  • Report

Taxonomies

A taxonomy is a group of terms that allow for simple classification.

Once tagged, content can be easily surfaced across the hub within shortcodes. This improves discoverability of your content and personalises the site experience based on user interests.

Shortcodes

Shortcodes are simple and configurable references to more complex objects such as widgets, content and pages. You can to do nifty things with very little effort.
