# Import users

Audience data can be imported in bulk via the **Audience** > **Import** function.

[This is the Google Sheet Template](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lE-LxAAinQwoUNVwPg02PY0KepqPAj_ScvWZ_VFZ1Ng/edit?gid=278063708#gid=278063708) that you will need to use. Alternatively, these are the headings you need to include - remember to save it as a .CSV file!

{% embed url="<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lE-LxAAinQwoUNVwPg02PY0KepqPAj_ScvWZ_VFZ1Ng/edit?gid=278063708#gid=278063708>" fullWidth="false" %}

Notes:

* For easy segmentation it is always good to give the import a batch name: a simple lowercase text reference.
* Ensure the content ID is consistently the same value in the Content Id column. It is recommended that you only import users for a single piece of content (or Event) at a time.
* Ensure the date format is correct:\
 **YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS**\
 \&#xNAN;*For example: 2018-06-24 20:59:21*\
 \&#xNAN;*You can customise this format in Google Sheets.*
* Attendance Mode: ***remote*** or ***in\_person*** (Only required if a Hybrid event).
* Ticket Option Id: Ticket option id to assign to the user subscription. When this option is used no need to specify the Attendance Mode.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.wavecast.io/publishing/control-access/import-users.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
